Whaddup all! Just purchased my certified pre-owned 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie last Thursday. Made the ascension from a 2008 4.7l Tundra. Can't wait to tow with this beast. Before that I had a single cab Ram 1500. This is my first diesel so I'm still trying to learn the ropes with maintenance, driving habits and all. Any tips for a new diesel owner, I'll sure take into consideration lol. Anyway, I know I'll have lots of questions and I'll give inputs when I can. Thanks in advance everyone! 20210220_084932.jpg

Looking good.

Post the payload sticker when you get a chance. I had a 2013 RAM 2500 Tradesman Cummins diesel before my 2020 RAM 3500 Tradesman dually diesel.

Welcome. Lot of good threads here to help you understand that sticker and how to safely operate the truck with a load behind it. Gear, family, tools all come into play and then you can figure out that available tongue weight.

Enjoy. That's quite the truck for someone to so quickly say they were tired of. I am confused by that.

Yeah tbh the trucks I was looking at online had payloads over 3K so to be under 2300 is kinda surprising and honestly bums me out a little lol. I mean, it'll handle the camper I have now and I do have some room to grow, just not as much as I figured I would.

Unfortunately you are not the only one to deal with this situation. I have a gas tradesman so I have all kinds of payload lol. Lot of people wanting a higher trim Cummins go straight to SRW 3500. So that's an option if you ever get "a lot more" trailer.
