I have been having an issue with my trailer while towing. When I am plugged in towing my truck will throw a code u148a-00 implausible data received from driver assistance system. It will not allow me to set cruise or adaptive cruise control. No loss of power. When trailer is unplugged everything goes back to normal and no code can be found when scanned. Dealership has looked at it twice with no resolve

Have they replaced the trailer plug on the bumper

Assuming 7-pin plug, is it the new style or old style plug?

The old style plug has caused lots of grief for new truck owners.

New style:

The old style is technically incompatible with the current 7-pin connectors used on trucks.

Also, there was a firmware update TSB related to front park sensors with a trailer connected that caused issues for some (mostly front park sensor alerts) but it's possibly related.

You didn't specify year of truck...

Beg,borrow or steal a different trailer to see if that fixes it.

I think it’s your trailer not your truck
It could be no ruling that out. I have looked all over the trailer and can’t find anything. They trailer worked fine with my previous truck, which was a 2018 ram 1500 which is why I’m thinking it’s the truck

Ok something I can look into. It’s a 2019 2500
