Didn’t drive it for a few weeks and had to jump it, CEL with the code above after. I see where guys put a batt minder on these things and I probably will when it sits extended but getting different explanation for that code googling. I erased it and figure will see what happens.
Anybody else get codes after a fail to start event like that?..it ran like a champ out of town with the light glowing.

These trucks are a pain with low voltage it should be fine and only tripped due to the battery being low

Have noticed it turning over slow after sitting a while in the garage before..wonder what causes the apparent drain, the truck sniffing for the fob 24/7?

There is always a small draw from the computer, .08A is the maximum allowable.

Also could be just the fact that the factory batteries are not very good there seems to be lots of early failures.

I have been lucky at almost 3 years since purchase with large draws from the plow and winch on the trailer the batteries seem to be holding strong for now but i don't tend to leave the truck sit for longer than about 3 days at most. I already assume i am on borrowed time.

Replaced the year old Costco battery, put in a Yellowtop and didn’t drive it for a month…started strong last night but the batt has to weigh 2x+ what the last did.
