After 22 years of service it was time for a new truck. Picked up my new Power Wagon on Wednesday and Christened it with a 500+ mile trip to the Catskill Mountains and back. The 6.4L Hemi averaged about 15 to 16 mpg. Not a bad riding vehicle; a bit stiffer than my old Dodge Ram 1500 which road like a sofa. Power was definitely there! A few times while maneuvering in traffic she launched from 55 to 75 mph in seconds! Made entering the New York thruway fun; by the time I got to the end of the entrance lane I was pushing 90 mph, leaving a Vette in the dust. Had no problem climbing the mountain to get to our destination.

Only thing that got tricky was parking it. Some of those mountain town restaurant parking lots weren't set up for a bigger truck. Yes, I was all the way back against the fence post.

Did you use any of the offroad goodies in some offroad situations?

Great looking truck. Glad it worked well for you.

It was all on-road. The mountain roads were THAT STEEP! Didn't big the motor down at all.

Fun part of the trip was getting my 90year old mom in it. We used a step ladder

Haha, we carry a Camco adjustable height step (model 43676) plus the RBP electric steps to get my 86 YO mom in/out.
