Hey guys. I wanted to know if anyone else has this "issue" My truck has 18k miles on it in less than a year. I've been hearing this "chirp" coming from the powertrain when the truck shifts into 3rd. It's been doing it for a while and I haven't noticed anything different with how it drives, I just hear the noise. I wish I could explain it better but does anyone have any idea what it could be. I have a 3500 HO so it's an aisin Trans.

I know we have different trucks, but my 2018 2500 did the same thing, but so far my 2021 does not. I put 80K miles on the 2018 and never had any problems at all. I think its just the nature of the heavy transmissions and drivetrain.

The Aisin is known for that chirp, do a search. Mine does it now and then.

The chirp is caused by the clutch materials . My 16 did exactly the same thing and was told its the material the clutch is mad from sounded like the rear tires where spinning.

Maybe your rear tires are spinning

Anyone have anything come from this noise? Just rode with a service manager on my brand new 2022 HO. He heard the chirp, but thinks it’s wastegate noise from the boost….

There is no wastegate...... That wouldn't give me a lot of confidence in the "Service Manager"
