Hey guys. Posted this on a few other boards, trying to get some more insight.
Hey guys. Hoping that I can get some help with this annoying chirp that I have been hearing for a while on my truck. It really only happens when I go under 10 miles an hour and mainly when I am entering or exiting driveways or making 45 to 90° turns that have slight dips in the turns. Driving down the road in a straight line or changing lanes doesn’t cause a sound to come up. Even slightly rough roads, there is no chirp. I have done the following things trying to find the source:
-I removed my King 2.5’s and replaced them with Bilstein shocks (temporary) while my Kings 2.5 get rebuilt. They were leaking so I thought that was the source of the chirp, but it is not.
-I greased up all of the zerk fittings on my Thuren leveling kit and Bad Axe brace (sway bar, track bar, end links).
-I needed to replace my brakes anyways, so I replaced the front pads, and greased up all of the clips and areas that needed to be greased.
-I sprayed lithium, grease on the radius arms (stock arms)
-made sure that the body mount bolts were torqued correctly
For the longest time I thought it was coming from the rear, thinking that it was the brake cable going through the control, arms, but it wasn’t. I had my wife drive the truck in and out of the driveway and found out that the chirp was coming from the front. At this point I have no idea where the sound could be coming from because everything has been greased and/replaced.
Any help/suggestions are appreciated.
