Does anyone else have both protection group AND offroad group appear on their window sticker? I bought a 2021 Bighorn... protection group on its own is $175 and includes transfer case skid plate and tow hooks... the offroad group is $395 and is supposed to include both those same options plus hill descent and bilstein shocks. On my sticker it lists both separately and I have paid twice ($175 plus $395) but in the configurator tool, it forces you to take one or the other but NOT both.... offroad is what I wanted for $395. Now scratching my head as to why the extra $175 is now added on top of offroad when the $395 option is supposed to include both options? Why would my window sticker add both charges but the configuration tool doesn't? Crazy how inaccurate these things are when we are spending $60+k and sometimes much more! My window sticker is attached - as you can see it actually lists both options (and charges me twice for the same 2 things - transfer case skid plates and tow hooks). Any ideas? I think it's justified to ask my dealer for the $175 back or at least that amount in freebies!

Very common. Diesel includes tow hooks too, Oh and if you have a wheel option? What happened to the standard 17/18s that were listed on the widow sticker? How come I don't get those? FWIW, on my sticker Protection Group is listed but without a price.

I believe your Offroad group was discounted. I think that’s closer to a $500 package charge. If so, probably because you already had the tow hooks

I think you’re only charged the difference on options upcharged from the base option

for example your wheels and tires weren’t $350. They were probably $350 more than the base option.

I noticed this also and was not sure about them being discounted when included in more than one package. Overall the $ amounts were small enough that I just forgot about it but maybe Ram does account for this overlap in their pricing. I was just very happy to get in under the wire and avoid the deletions due to chip shortages.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Overall, the truck pricing went up with my Window sticker, and the difference between that and what I can configure using the online configurator is the $175 protection group option + the $100 federal AC tax (which the online tool doesn't add in). Anyways, it's such a small amount in the context of a $70k truck that I'm not all that concerned especially after reading from others that it's common. Like I said though, I will be asking my dealer to throw in a set of Mopar mud flaps (fitted) for $0 :)

Cummins price creeps up all the time. $9,100 on my Feb 2020 built truck. Was $9,300 by the end of the year.

There have been at least four price increases to the base price of a 2021 2500 4x4 crew cab....
40,500
40,800
41,150
Now at 41,475
