I've seen that dometic makes a center console refrigerator for ford trucks, but I can't find anything for a RAM 2500. Is my Google foo bad?

No they make it for Ford and Chevy but not Ram (yet). Not sure it’s something I’d get even if it was available, but kind of cool.

I've been watching this since they released the Ford one. I contacted them but they were pretty tight lipped about anything new at the time. I figure they are likely creating them in order of sales numbers, and Ram will be the last made.

I would totally buy one for my truck when they are available.

Yup, I often have a small cooler behind the seat for drinks and snacks. I also never use my center console for storage. A little mini fridge would be perfect

OK so after reading this and looking at the center console fridge, I emailed Dometic about one for the 19+ Ram 2500‘s and this was their response,

“Good Afternoon, Our products engineers are working with the truck manufacturer to figure out how to put our fridge in their trucks, so want to and our working on it, but no info yet as far as an ETA on something like that yet.”

So no date, but at least they are working on it!

I know I said I’m not really interested, but I think a replacement for the RamBin would be pretty sweet location to be honest. Downside is it’s not accessible to driver.

That is actually a GREAT idea, or if they could fit one to utilize the deeper pockets in one of the RamBoxes - but that would eliminate I imagine around 75% of the customer base….

It looks like they gave the interior dimensions. If you look at THIS it shows the dimensions as 9.5”x7.1”x11.2”. With those measurements, yes it would fit perfect in the back portion of the RamBox on each side. I have the dividers in mine (both front to back and the horizontal ones for the front and rear portion of the RamBox). With the horizontal divider, it looks like it juuuuuuust doesnt fit in the front portion, but easily does on the back portion. Front would be nice since that is where the outlet is. But yes definitely an option!

Don't have my truck with ramboxes yet, so I can only speculate. But there is a plethora of these fridges in all kind of sizes available.
Only drawback of rambox vs interior is the ambient temperature and thus the cooling capacity of the fridge.
Those peltier-cooled fridges cannot be compared to compressor driven fridges in terms of performance.
