Not directed toward you at all, sir.
I would like to correct them in one area where they say:
“another 500lbs to hit the highest payload of the Ram 2500(s) – 2,500lbs.”
Well.. Plenty of 2500s have over 2500lb payload and many have 3k payload. Mine is almost 3300lb. Yes, mine is a gas truck, and cummins have less payload but they don’t say Cummins they just say 2500. They only mention the word Cummins once on that page, in the specs of their particular test truck. Not sure if they’re just uninformed (unlikely) or if they’re fudging to make it look like their r2 coils are roughly equal to factory coils. Their coils don’t touch the load capacity of factory coils.
Their r2 coil dropped 1.125” with 500lb in the bed and their coil is clapped out at -4.125” sag at 2500lb. In comparison, factory coils drop 1” with 2400lb in the bed by my measurements on my truck on a load with known weight
I did ALOT of research when I wanted to lift my truck because of my payload needs. I keep my truck loaded heavy all the time and I’m glad I have my stock springs and I also added sumo springs.
@MFEST67 my prediction is you are going to sag like crazy and need airbags with carli springs. Test it out first and see. Airbags aren’t a big deal to install if you need them.
IMHO people who want to haul a fifth wheel or big bumper pull and want to have a soft ride need two different vehicles as those are different needs.
