This came from LLJ Custom Car Audio today. 10 foot custom loop back cable with Audio Control pre-wired. Just add power source and subwoofer.

So does that just connect between your head unit and the output wiring to the speakers to pick up signal?

We want to see more install pics! Which stereo do you have and was this custom made or how exactly did you order it?

The loop connects between the head unit and the factory harness and places the processor and amp 10 feet from it. The amp will sit under the driver seat on a cooling rack so I have access to adjust it.

I have the 8.4 non-factory amped. The cable wired to the processor/amp was custom made by LLJCustoms.com. I am installing Focal Access 690 AC in rear doors. Front door and dash get Focal Access 165 YE components with adjustable crossover. The sub is a Kicker Hidaway 8 inch square with 150 watt amp.

The factory installed better speakers than on my 2016. Me thinks the upgrade will sound better.

Probably going to have to put 1/2" spacers to raise the rear seats. That way I can have an air gap under the both of them. With all the extra work I am having to do, this may be the last upgrade I do. Every new truck I have bought, it is just getting more difficult to make changes. Admittedly I have just under a $1000 invested in this one. It will definitely sound better than the factory upgrade for the same amount. Maybe it's the challenge that make me do it......back to the shed, more decisions to rattle around in my brain.

That 1/2" will probably get you the rear seat (fold down) mod as well. I haven't done the hook cutoff version yet and don't recall exactly how much, but 1/2" sounds about right.

If I was doing it (raising), I'd be sure to use plates instead of something like round spacers for fear of the bolts breaking off.

As often as people sit in the back, I'd like to get rid to the seats. Just don't have the space to safely store them without fear of mice eating them. I have leftover 1" aluminum blocks that I can drill holes through and cut to the desired height.

It is installed and tuned. Think I need a bigger sub. Still need a wire board for the processor, place to secure wires and protect them. Another day project. Overall the sound it good and loud , very clean and tight. The only thing that doesn’t look stock is the tweeters in the dash.

My last truck had a fox box under the rear seat and I loved it. It was molded to fit the storage space under the seat. As far as I can tell now they do not make a box yet to fit the 2500 storage area like we have. Their new boxes are made to fit the 1500's with no under seat storage areas. I started prefabbing a box for mine. I am going to lay fiberglass along the entire bottom of the box to mold into the storage area. I will start a thread on the build process once I get a little farther along.

I have also contacted LLJ custom to make a harness and add a Audio Control LC2i.

Keep us posted on your build too, looks like your off to a great start!

During this install I did learn something about the factory radio, it does look for a load to protect the internal amp. The little green blocks by the processor are 20 ohm loads to mimmick a speaker. If not used, it cuts the power and frequency range severely. Wish I had known this on my 2016.
