Can you swap the 4.5 12" uconnect system in a 2020 to the 5.0 12" uconnect by buying the new 5.0 head unit?

TL;DR - LOTS OF PARTS needed, not just the head unit.

Can you upgrade to uconnect 5?
Forgive me if I totally don't understand this, but it is my understanding that the software run on the screens is uconnect and has different versions, where 4 is on a lot of vehicles now and 5 is just coming out. Is that correct, or is it specific to the type of screen you have? If that is the...

Yup this ^. Also note that right now the uConnect modules seem to be severely backordered. I've had the parts together to upgrade my '22 from the 8.4 Non-Nav to the 12", but I can't get my hands on the module yet.
