It's a direct fit. It's purely cosmetic, but it looks awesome. It took about 25 min to install. You will need to order the hood vents and faux ram air intake.I have to replace my hood due to hail damage and was wondering if anyone has figured out if the new Performance hood is a direct swap for the stock hood on the 2022 PW?
I've got a 23 sitting here and you'd "think" it would swap by looking at it. But I traded my other truck for it, so I no longer have something to compare it with.
I don't see anything "performance" about it. The grill thing is just for looks and the sound deadening mat is now missing in the center 1/3 of the hood. I have no idea what they were thinking there. Change for the sake of change I suppose.
I guess it just creates a space to put some more running lights in place of the fake inlet grill.
Hope it works out for you if you decide to try it.

So the deadening mat is missing in the center, but the center scoop does not open into the engine bay? What about the two side vents, are those fake as well?
Thanks Dino, I would not have known that the vents and intake were separate. Would you happen to have the part numbers you ordered handy? I'd like to have that info to give to the body shop if they turn out to be clueless when not replacing the exact same parts, if you know what I mean.
Oh, and did you just reuse your stock sound dampening mat?
Thanks for the photo, that was very helpful. It's just got a fake grill plugging the hole and no mat in the middle.

The roof has to be replaced as well. Where I live and work we get hit with the big hail stick every 2-3 years.I hate to thread slide but I have to ask, how did your roof make out (since you're replacing the hood )?
Hail is one of those things that you generally have no control over if you're caught out in it. I can eat damage caused by my own stupidity fairly easily, but stuff like that grinds me a bit.![]()
C Springs on the 5th? If so, that was a hell of a storm. Guy in my reserve unit had his 1 day old truck damaged on every panel. The roof has to be replaced as well. Where I live and work we get hit with the big hail stick every 2-3 years.
