Can you go from 4 button remote to 5 button

Hey guys I just searched and found nothing. So thought I would ask. Can you go from a 4 button remote to a5 button remote and the tailgate drop feature work?

Tailgate release in the key fob already present EDIT: Mod complete and works!

In case anyone was wondering like I was. The regular key fobs have the proper circuit board for the tailgate release. As you can see in the image they just didn’t actually add the button itself. I held some wires to it to give it power and abracadabra, my tailgate opened. I’m sure someone can...

Yes you can and it will work as soon as you program the new FOB. Dealer might tell you it won't work because most of them don't know. Tell them to program the FOB anyway
