Can the standard USB ports be changed to charge only in the settings?

I found a wireless charger that fits good in my center console phone holder. However the standard USB ports below the 12" screen don't support it, it just keeps starting and stopping. It works fine when powered from the charge only USB ports for the back seat passengers.

Is it possible to switch those ports to charge only or somehow else (charge only cable?) to make them support a wireless charger pad? I couldn't find anything in the settings.

No, you could try a data blocker (charge only) adapter.

Don't recall what the power output is on those ports, it may not be enough for the charge pad.

I tried a few different wireless chargers I had laying around including an older one that I don't think had any communication capabilities and they all had the same problem. I think for the time being I'll just run the USB cable through the console from a back charge only port. I had hoped for a more elegant solution. Another option is to plug a USB charger into the AC outlet in the console but I don't think that is any better other than I could be assured fast charging would work with the right charger.

I would be interested in finding out if anyone has been successful in powering a wireless charger from the standard USB ports.

The data ports don’t put out enough power for most wireless chargers. I spent a lot of time trying to get that to work.

Your best option is to wire something in directly.

The interesting thing is the standard USB-C ports fast charge my phone (or at least my phone thinks it is fast charging).
