Can I change remote start settings? Want to change to longer run time, remote start more than once before getting in

You can already remote start twice. Just lock the truck again and it will remote start again.

As for the run time.. i'm sure its possible. You can change that setting in most vehicles.. where or how you do it in the Ram, no idea.

Ok I'll have to try that. Didn't think I could remote start it again after locking it since it's already locked. Thanks.

Remote start twice without getting in, and that's the limit? No more starts without hitting the start/stop button in the truck?
Pretty sure it makes me get in before even a 2nd start, but I'll have to double check.

Yea just start it then when it times out i just start it again i dont think you can change duration or start counts… why do you need more than one start? I know even in -40°C my truck heats up to temp in one start

Just because for some starts I don't end up getting in during the 15mins, and it cools down inside pretty damn quick when it's not running in our Canadian temps. Really just to cover me getting distracted, lazy, or having to wait for kids longer than I'd expected.

Plus it's just a standard thing with remote starts to be able to start it more than once, and I don't believe mine does but I'll have to try some things to make sure.

It should start 2times i get what you mean im in the cold northern canada too and my wife can be slow as molasses lol

from my 2020 owners manual.
 The engine can be started two consecutive times (two 15 minute cycles) with the key fob. However, the ignition switch must be placed in the ON/RUN position before you can repeat the start sequence for a third cycle.

I have not seen a setting in AlphaOBD... But I haven't really looked either.

Iam going to say the EPA possibly has some input on idle time.

Yep this is the case with my truck. Don't know why I thought it was only 1. Still though, would be nice for it to run for more than 15 mins, but I could see how that'd be a stretch for options available to us.
