Cam and Lifter Issue in 6.4 liter 2500 Ram - Thoughts?

If anyone is familiar with KTM motorcycles, they are having cam eating issues with the LC8 parallel twin motors, and now BMW and Triumph motorcycles are also eating cams.

This seems more like a metallurgy issue. Are all of these manufacturers sourcing metal from India? It's just too much of a coincidence. I never saw anything like this before COVID created supply chain issues.
