Broken door handle tabs on door carrier

Well I messed up. I thought I remembered how to remove the door panel to plug in the lamp near the door handle, but apparently not. Long story short, I failed to remove the handle trim piece prior to removing the door and I broke off the bottom door handle mounting tab off of the door carrier. It appears that I will need to replace the whole door carrier which apparently has the window regulator integrated into it. Is this my only option? Tried to jbweld it back together with no luck. I thought about making a metal tab for the bottom and riveting it to the remaining portion.

That sucks ! ebay has carrier plates for a reasonable price. hopefully it’s the passenger door.

Yes it is the passenger door, and found a replacement for a reasonable $180 shipped on rockauto. I just hate that I have to replace the window regulator just cause of a plastic tab for the door handle.
