I just picked up a 2021 Laramie 6.7 4x4 and was looking to see what the break in period is. Trying to see how many miles/hours I needed to cover before hauling a fifth wheel around. Any recommendations?

I’d seen that 500 for the tyranny but hadn’t spotted anything for the Cummins

As mentioned. The engines are broke in. The break in period is for thr drivetrain...mainly the rear gear.

We have a few threads here where everyone gives their opinion. They range from you must do it exactly, to hook the damn trailer and pull.

I feel as long as you do what you need to do, life will go on. If you have time to break it in. Then break it in. If you need to tow that trailer right from the dealer...hook and pull. Just try to follow as much of a break in as you can.

Hell, as fast as some of you guys go through trucks...why even worry...lol

No doubt on the turnaround for some people.

I tend to keep mine around. 08’ 5.9 only 180k but the turbo blew and I just haven’t swapped back to the oem turbo and intercooler yet. I’m crossing my fingers I don’t find any fragments in the oil pan.
