Hello All, so I'm enjoying my PW. It currently has just around 28k miles on it, mainly do to moving cross country. One thing I don't like about it are the brakes, they seem to fade and don't stop all the great. I know it's a heavy truck and it won't stop like my Subaru but still. Are there any upgrades for the brakes on the PW's? Should I replace just the pads or do cross drilled/slotted rotors as well?

Semi metallic pads or just re bed the brakes every so often

If you do change pads and rotors, the Powerstop Z36 kit has good reviews. That is where I am leaning when I swap mine out.

I certainly like the idea of improving the brakes, I can't find any independent tests, just a bunch of personal opinions...

Agreed. I haven't seen any independent testing on it either. But, there are enough positive opinions for me to look closer at them. The $1K price tag for pads and rotors is pretty spendy, though.

Yeah.... based on the home grown 'experiments' I'm finding it is maybe braking 10ft sooner... not sure $1K is worth a 10% improvement.
