2019 RAM 2500 HD 4X4 6.7L diesel, with 6 speed transmission (the FR8 something) I was trying to find out what model number my transfer case is( no tag on the case itself, and unable to get anything via the VIN number) in order to get a consensus as to what fluid to use other than Mopar. I think that on the 2019 the model number is BW-46 but not 100 % sure. Now the Mopar fluids states on the bottle that it's good for 44-48. I bought the truck used so I'm trying to replace all the fluids and start fresh with the maintenance schedule. I have 55000 miles on the truck. Thank you

The trans is a 68RFE and the t case is good with ATF for the fluid change

Standard transfer case is electronic (BW 44-46) or manual shift (BW 44-47)

HO/AISN trucks have a larger transfer case; Borg Warner BW44-48

Thank you for the info. What is your opinion about type/brand of fluids for the transfer case

Any good synthetic ATF +4 (for temp reasons).

Factory fill is thought to be and likely a clone of DexIII ATF.

The HD transfer cases are chain and gear drive, no clutches to be concerned with the need for friction modifiers.
