Body Mounts or Suspension Issue?

I live in LA, and we have a lot of bridges everywhere. When I go over ones with a bigger amount of height than the normal road surface, I am getting a really loud thunk on the driver's side footwell when the suspension compresses. It feels and sounds like someone is down there hitting it with a small sledgehammer. This only happens when the suspension unloads, then loads up quickly. No noises otherwise, and hasn't done it in the previous six or so months of ownership.

Body mount seemed tight with a regular-sized 1/2" ratchet. All suspension and steering joints were tight when I pried on them. Can't help but think something is about to snap. Dealership would probably be a two-week ordeal, so I am trying to hold off on that if I can. Should I just sit on the body mounts with an impact?

This is a 2022 2500 6.4 with about 4k miles

Tq the body mount bolts to 90ft lbs
Checked with a digital gauge and breaker bar. The A-pillar was at 58 lb-ft. B-pillar was 72 lb-ft. Passenger side was all close to 80. You'd think they would've figured out how to torque bolts by now.

I guess I need to calibrate my upside-down in-the-dirt ratcheting specs again. I'll be going over the worst bridges later today. We'll see if that fixed it.

If you don’t mind, can you describe where the body mount bolts are that you’re referencing?

Between the rocker panel and frame under where the door meets the fender (A-pillar), and another where both CC doors meet (B-pillar).

Tightening up the body mounts didn't help. Looks like I might have to make some time to drop it off at the shop. Can't wait to get the infamous "Could not reproduce" from the tech

I just dropped my truck off at the dealer for a couple issues - one was that sound your describing. I tried hitting the body mounts with the impact - the drivers side A pillar did tighten up some but it made no difference. There is a TSB on this and I believe it said to replace body mounts and not to torque them down IIRC.

Do you happen to have that TSB #?
