New here, first post. Search didn't work well, so I have a question concerning a Body Control Module in a 2019 4500. I recently purchased this truck. Outstanding condition, with 94k miles. It has a number of odd problems, including random headlights coming on, even one side at a time, locks, front windows, and mirrors don't work with driver's control panel, And a couple other issues. From my research, I determined that the BCM was the most likely problem (after replacing the driver's door switch panel with a cheap knock-off to test). Also, for test purposes, I bought a cheap used BCM with the same part number. I know they need to be programmed, but I plugged it in to see what would happen. Headlights work properly now, but all kinds of other things don't. It seems that the original BCM is indeed bad. My question: Can a dealership reprogram this used BCM to my truck's specs? If so, any idea on cost? My business is selling automotive wheel service equipment and lifts, so I know a lot of people in the dealerships. I think I could find a dealer that won't refuse to do it, if it's possible. There is a guy advertising on eBay who will "clone" my specs into the used one for $150, but he needs both of my BCMs to do it, and the truck would be down for a while. Another option is ordering one from a company that will program it to my VIN. That runs less than $400. What is your experience with this, and what do you think is my best option? Thanks for your help.
