Blunt Cut Wires @ Rear Of Truck

I have a 2019 Power Wagon, which doesn’t have auxiliary switches because Power Wagon. My understanding is it is not offered on the PW because the grey connector under the dash that would be for aux switch wiring is instead used for the swaybar and lockers wiring.

While installing my AEV bumper this weekend I noticed my truck has the 3 blunt cut wires. I know the white/violet one is for the CHSML for a topper, and the other two should be for auxiliary switches...which I don’t have. I didn’t think these 2 other wires would be present on trucks not equipped with the aux switches, but sure ‘nuff.

my question is, where do these wires go on a power wagon/non-aux switch truck? Or are they tied into something else that I shouldn’t mess with? They're not specifically for AUX switches.

Can't say on your truck, but on AUX trucks, there is a jumper in the cab that connects those wires to IGN+ and BAT+ as seen on the right side of the image you posted.

Have you looked for the grey connector?

Have you checked for the presence of voltage on them (maybe they're directly connected) or maybe they need a fuse inserted?

@Jimmy07 may be able to offer some insight...
 
I think I understand now that they can be configured (re wired) to be controlled by the aux switches, but otherwise are just ign and bat+ ... but require the upfitter connector/wiring which jumps the pins to activate them.

I’ll check what’s going on under the dash tonight.
 
Large pink is constant 12+
Red with white is ignition 12+
White with purple is brake light.

I have been trying to figure out how to get power to these on my 4th Gen.

I havent worked real hard at it though.

Those wires are ultimately run through the aux PDC, and that grey connector under the dash can only be present if the left dash harness contains the aux PDC, which your truck doesn’t.
Those wires are probably present on every HD truck because every variation of the rear chassis harness contains them (boxed in green below), and probably don’t continue on the left chassis harness side of the in-line connector (boxed in purple below). The left dash harness is circled in blue. The white/purple wire will always go to the BCM. 534A02CD-9DF2-4617-A2C7-89C7013ACE7F.jpeg

To be clear. Without the auxiliary switches....they are not powered.

Can they be powered and/or do they run to the front of the truck?

I got a dead running light wire to my 7 pin and am trying to decide a route to fix it...and some other ideas while I am doing it.

Correct. Without the aux fuse box, they are just dead wires included in in that section of harness. They don’t run to the front of the truck, they terminate at the chassis connector by the spare tire.
 
To use the white purple wire to power the third brake light what is required? Just extend the wire to the topper? Where do you get the ground? Thanks.

There is a grounding stud on the outside of the frame, between the rear passenger wheel well and bumper. There is already a grounding cable attached. Splice a ring terminal onto the end of your ground wire and share that ground point.
 
Hi all, I have a ‘24 PW & my truck has the VSIM upfitter harnesses. I want to install a set of switched bumper mounted lights off my Garmin Power Switch. Question, can I splice into one of the 2 12v (ign or B+) blunt cut wires on the rear Driver side by the spare to power them? I would run a wire from one of the (+) terminals on the Garmin through the firewall into the one of the harness under the steering column. This would be way easier than hardwiring the lights in loom rear to front along the frame to the engine compartment. Thanks for any clarification

For the 5 mins it would take to run a loomed wire to the engine bay I would go that route instead since those wires don’t go past the rear of the truck on yours as you don’t have AUX switches since you have a PW
