Blinding gauge lights when lights are off

I'm hoping I'm missing something but from what I can tell there is no way to adjust the guage and touchscreen brightness when the lights are off. They end up blinding you at night. I know you can turn the touchscreen display off but it's not enough. The guage lights are just too bright when it's dark out.

Has anyone figured out a way to change this? I'm thinking of wiring in a cutoff switch for the cluster lights but that might throw an error, I don't know.

Have you adjusted your dimmer down? If it’s in the full up position it will stay bright mode while the lights (auto or manual) are on.

Have you checked in the UConnect system for display settings? The manual shows different options for "Lights off" and "Lights on".

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet but it sounds like what you're looking for (display brightness). Not sure about the gauges... Hope that helps!
