Bitching Betty has Something New?

So yesterday for the first time, "Bitching Betty" in the dash is telling me what the speed limit is if I go over by 10 clicks. She is not even subtle about it. Is this something new? Hopefully I can find a way to shut her up. LOL

I certainly haven't seen this behavior in my truck. A couple thoughts. Is yours a CA spec truck? And are you using factory NAV?

Mine's US spec and I'm not using factory Nav. I use Apple Car Play. Worst I get is a speed limit sign in the console, but only while navigating. Siri minds her own business otherwise.

I heard this in a couple of test drive trucks, but it is not “on” in mine. I believe you can turn this on or off in the Nav Sound settings. Try “Nav > OPTIONS > Settings > Speed Limit > Amount over Speed Limit”. That is for an older model so it may be different in the newer models. If you search other forums, there are even suggestions if the over speed warnings are coming from the passenger seat.

I think it has something to do with Traffic Sign Recognition. Vehicle-Settings-Driving and Assistance

You can set it to Visual, or Visual and Audible, or off.

Canadian truck with factory nav. Truck is four years old so must have been included with a recent update. I also get red light camera notifications which is also new.

This sounds like an ideal prank to pull on a guy. Who else has been in your truck?

Yeah, those are all settings that have been around since UConnect 4. Either someone else turned them on when you weren’t looking or the last update reset your settings somehow.
