Looking to add a hitch stabilising cable as pictured to our 34-inch 21/2" to 2" hitch extender to clear our slide-in camper. Our hitch is the standard one that came with the truck. What is the best way to add hooks on the hitch to attach the stabilising cable to ? thanks

We have similar trucks and usage (I have a 10.6 Bigfoot camper). I installed a front hitch so I can use a cargo carrier and bike rack in the front which allows me to put the extra weight in the front. Putting a bike rack on a rear hitch extension would have blocked my camper door. Also, I sometimes tow using the rear hitch although if I'm towing something I could put the bikes on what I'm towing. The main downside of the bikes in the front is the bikes partially block the headlights and the front camera can get blocked.
