Anyone know if the mopar 50 gallon tank will work for a short bed? Or anyone have reviews on the titan 52 gallon?

No one has yet to actually install the 50 gallon tank on a short bed.
There is a thread below about putting it in the 6.4 but it has been a process waiting on parts.
If you have a 6.7 I'm sure others will chime in and point you to the correct thread.

My brother installed the Titan and is very happy with it. Say's he should have done it sooner.

Anyone got any reviews on titan 52 gallon tanks or anyone ever put a mopar 50 gallon in a short bed?

I have the Titan tank on my short bed 3500. Fuel gauge shows full until you burn off enough fuel to get back to the 32 gallons, then it is pretty accurate. Easy math for the amount over the regular tank.

Not sure why the manufacturers (all of them on the short beds) put that small of a tank on a truck that when towing may be getting 10-11 mpg.

I also have a 50 gallon Titan tank on my Megacab. I measured and I can fit in 8 gallons of fuel after the needle shows full. Once it starts going down I know that I have 42 gallons left. One other thing I noticed with the Titan tank is my fuel gage is more accurate at the low end of the fuel level. Previously with the stock tank I would read empty with the needle on E and could only put in 27 gallons to a 31 gallon tank. Now when I am about a 1/16 I am able to put in 44-45 gallons. I haven't gone past the 1/16 yet though so I do not know how low it will still pickup fuel or not but with 45 gallons of usable fuel I get around 380 miles towing my enclosed trailer at 80 on the freeway or around 5 hours between stops, gets mighty tough on some peoples bladders lol.

Threads merged - OP, please don't cross post the same question in multiple forums/threads, it's confusing to members and considered uncouth on internet forums. It's also against the site rules.

I have the atitank 46 gallon aux tank. Very nice and it fits easily in the front. Best mod hands down.

Hey when you put in your tank did the DTE work right away?

I have a 3500 long bed Ram w the 31 gallon tank. I bought the atitank 46 out of the gate. Good for 700 towing at least.77 gallons.

I drove from the dealer straight to the installer to have the Titan put in with just single digits on the odometer. So far so good.

This is a little bit of a long story. I had a Titan tank put in at 6000 miles by a dealer in the Twin Cities. 2022 Ram Laramie. On the first fill up the tank vented when full. It vented out of the top an not the filler neck. The DTE went to 800 and never seemed to work. Could not get back to the dealer due to my schedule until now. Still drove the truck to Colorado and Montana. In Montana started up the truck early at the hotel and went out to discover I was pumping fuel on the ground. Shut of the truck and it stopped. Found out the best Diesel place in Montana was 3 blocks away. Drove the truck there leaving a trail of fuel a blind man could follow. This is what they found See pic. The clamp was never installed correctly. Finally got the truck in to the installer and they found the vent line loose and rechecked all the other fittings. They said they recalibrated the DTE according to Titan but it now reads 815 ish. Is there a learning curve on the DTE? Titan and the installer have been very supportive in all this as they should. I just want it to WORK. Thanks for letting me vent

Don’t put too much stock in the estimated range of the computer. On my other cars it’ll give a guesstimate based on historical mpgs.

Can calibrating the tank be done at home with sophisticated diagnostic tools or obd apps?

My DTE doesn't work right and I don't plan on adjusting it since I have gotten used to how it works now. When I have a full tank not towing it says right around 500 miles but in reality it should say closer to 750 or 800 miles. It stays at that 500 miles for around 100 -130 miles then gradually goes down as the tank empty's. I did try to adjust it when I first put my tank in but the DTE was way off and the fuel gage didn't want to read right so I reverted the BCM setting back to stock. As an FYI I get mid 15's MPG not towing and around 9 MPG towing with my setup, all hand calc.

I also have Ram Connect. It tells me there is 279 miles left. I don’t think that is right at 18 mpg and tank is full. Just saying
