I am new to this site, I just purchased a used 2015 ram 2500 Laramie, crew with 6.4 4X4

I dont know what generation this is, Sorry still wet behind the ears at 72 :)
I have been using Amsoil synthetic in my vehicles is that acceptable in this truck

they recommend 0-40 does that sound right? I got this truck to occasionally move my tractor. the total weight of my trailer & payload is 14k
Not exceptionally hilly in Washington state where I live.

Any thoughts??? I appreciate any input on this subject.

Kind Regards, Joe

For you 15w40 amsoil will be great

I use redline 0w40. Don't use 15w40 diesel oil in the hemi. I think the Pennzoil Ultra 0w40 is ok, I used it in my 2015 with zero issues. Decided to use redline in this truck for a change.
Oops my bad i assumed it was the cummins i did not read it all clearly! Yes 0-40 is a must
