Best color choice to hide dirt?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Laramie 3500 here that both my wife and I will be driving (she hauls horses). We live on a dirt road and the barn she runs is also on a dirt road. Needless to say, the truck will see some dirt every day. I currently have a 2500 in black and it is terrible obviously to try and keep looking clean. For the new truck, we have been debating on what color to go with. From what I read, the Billet Silver or White seems like a good choice to hide dirt, but she doesn't care much at all for those colors.

We are now looking at either Granite Crystal with color matched bumpers or a two toned Flame Red / Billet Silver combo. Would I regret either of those? I'm sure I'll be more likely to get more car washes with a brand new truck, but I don't want to deal with dirt like I currently do on my black truck. Would granite crystal or flame red/silver show dirt bad? Any other better options to hide dirt besides white/silver?

Yep. From my experience Pearl White is also a good option. Granite Crystal isn’t going to be nearly as bad as Black but it’s still gonna show pretty quick. Ive had 8 dark metallic grey vehicles in the past and while I love the color, I decided to go Billet Silver this time.

Agree with this also. Had a 2006 Chevy that was similar. Hid the dirt/dust really well.

You couldn't convince your wife into a Billet Silver 3500 Laramie Night Edition, looks real sharp in my opinion. I'm looking to order a Bighorn 2022 3500 Sport in Billet Silver as I don't like 20" wheels.

Yes, I know it's dirty. But this is what my truck looks like all too often. I haven't washed it in a while since it's rained a lot recently here and it just gets dirty again driving down the road.

We actually were looking at the Billet Silver Night edition, but the cost for the night edition seemed a bit high for what you get. We were thinking of getting the color matched bumpers and changing the wheels out, but then she confessed how much she didn't care for the silver. So here we are.

Billet silver is amazing at how well it hides dirt and water spots. My previous two trucks were gray and white and billet silver is in another class when it comes to hiding dirt. It's also great for reflecting the sun's heat. I wasn't really in love with billet silver when I ordered it. I wanted olive green but you can't get that with a Longhorn. So I figured silver was the most practical choice but it has really grown on me. I've had the truck long enough to where ease of maintenance has become a lot more appreciated than during the pre-purchase dreaming phase. Here's a photo where the truck looks pretty clean but it is actually covered in dust. Look at the finger marks on back of the door edge to see how dirty the truck is and also how dusty the tires are. Until you get close to it, it's really hard to see how dirty it is.

I have had many white trucks and jeeps and also silver and white does a better job of hiding minor pin striping and scratches. I think they are equal as far as hiding dirt and dust. I settled for a billet silver Power Wagon because I could not find a white one but I wish I would have waited. This was after a week in Moab you can see the topper and bumpers are covered with red dust but the truck looks pretty good.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. My Billet Silver is atrocious with dirt spots after it rains. Back to Bright White all the way on the next one unless I decide to not give a f and want monotone Night Edition Black.

Holds up to the elements better
Doesn't fade... it's already White
Color matches easier if a repair is needed.

If you want color, go with a 'theme'...blue, green, or red accessories...like the grille, light bar, side steps, etc.

My trucks see lots of dirt daily. Here's a comparison on our older granite crystal vs my new patriot blue. The granite crystal wasn't bad at hiding the dust/dirt but the patriot blue definitely shows it more like your black truck, which I don't really mind. You can see a "hand swipe" likely from one of my kids on the granite crystal truck on the driver's door to show how dirty it is. Both are the best pictures I could find of the trucks dirty. I guess I only usually snap pictures after they are cleaned! Hope this helps.
