Calling all seasoned Ram HD enthusiasts,

I recently purchased my truck that has the standard 3.73 rear axle with no LSD or locker and want to make the upgrade.

My truck will expect mild towing & off-road use and I expect to keep the truck for a long time so which brand is best to shop for?

Also, is it worth upgrading the gear ratio to 4.10 while I’m at it?

My truck is a 2021 Ram 2500 regular cab 4x4 with a 3.73 rear axel & manual transfer case.

I haven’t seen anything offered for the 19+ trucks aside from the OEM option.

Power Wagon OEM 4.10 gears with Torison gear LSD and electric locker.
Not sure anyone else makes a Torsion gear LSD for these trucks.

I think all the 3500s came with a helical rear diff. I imagine swapping one in would not be hard. I put 4.10s in my '18 HO 3500 and love them. It has th factory helical rear end and I added an ARB air locker to the front. With a 68 trans is probably do 4.44s as it has taller gears internally for the first few gears.

The 19+ trucks switched back to a clutch style LSD.

I’ve never liked clutch style LSD’s over helical gear style, but this one works better on snow/ice than any other one I’ve used so I don’t hate it…

This is the only after market diff I could find for 2019+ 2500s. What is everyone’s thought on this?

That's for the front, I thought you were after a rear locker? Fwiw to run that front you'd need to install a free spin kit. A helical front plus the oe center axle disconnect will cause it to engage even when in 2wd and make a bunch of noise (or so my local axle shop tells me). For the front you'll want to do an ARB or Power wagon locker.

Ah understood, so when you guys say “power wagon locker” since another guy mentioned it before do you mean salvaging a rear end off another truck like on eBay?

I've seen folks use salvage axles as well as buy just the locker components new and install them in your existing axles.

Do you know where I might be able to buy a new locker to install in my axle? I haven’t been able to find them online.

Anyplace competent to install it should be able to supply the parts. You might look into the cost of a whole power wagon axle assembly if you are also changing gear ratios--might not be much more if any more cost.

Hello all........Are there any other options besides a locker for the front 19+ 9.25 diffs? Wanted to possibly upgrade the front to an LSD while changing to 4.44's. Found this one and looks like it would work but can't find any feedback and have not heard of this company until now. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
