Any opinions on a bed brace? I don't travel desert roads fast or have bed racks but find these interesting. Is anyone using anything like this?

Only heard of those being needed on Toyotas, mainly Tacomas with composite beds, that have racks and rooftop tents etc.
…gas and water cans waving around three feet above the bed rails, levering on the rear corners.
Just the forces that wind could put on one of those tents..

The 99-16 superdutys needed those too if you wanted to open the tailgate with the truck on any un even surface!

I guess if you ran with no tailgate in an effort to save some fuel they would be of value . Since the tailgate ties in the sides

Nope the bed sides are plenty strong they hold themselves up

Seems to be unnecessary from the comments. But they do look cool and give extra tie down points. Think for the price I'll pass for now. But if they were stainless, I'd probably give them a try.

I can see them being a pain in the ass for tripping over and catching things being loaded and unloaded
Imagine walking to the end of the bed to hop out but tripping on that and falling out of the box! Lol that would hurt….
