Battery Saver Mode

Replaced mine and still same problem. Only thing that keeps the problem under control is to charge the batteries every two weeks or so. When problem reappears, I put the charger on them. ‍

I put mine on a trickle charger anytime the truck will sit more than 3 or 4 days.

I like the NOCO Genius chargers as they stop charging when the battery hits 100% and resume charging when the SOC drops. This is better for battery longevity.

My 2022 6.7 sits for weeks on end inside my shop. Sometimes a month goes by and I haven’t driven it. Approaching 3 yrs old and cranks right up every time I jump in it. It’s a tradesman so maybe doesn’t have the parasitic drain some of the higher trim models might have.

My 2022 does a lot better than my 2018 ever did, but they still have more of a parasitic drain than older vehicles did. Combine that with poor battery quality and it’s easy to see why 3-4 years is the new norm for battery life.

6-7 years is REALLY pushing it on the current OEM batteries.

My 04 battery lasted 13 years but it sat a lot and didn't have a lot of start/charge cycles in it and no parasitic draw.

3-4+ years and sitting for days in negative temps will destroy these junk batteries.

Mine needed a jump after sitting at the airport for a week during the "big freeze."

I've managed to bring mine back to life with near constant trickle charging from an underhood Noco 5A charger, so now it is actually able to last a week at the airport garage and still start. Often, I've started it from the app on the train to the terminal.

That said, it travels with a GBX155 booster buddie just in case.
