2019 Ram 2500 with 42k miles. Just out of warranty. Driving about a month ago and the check engine light turns on. Truck feels normal. I made an appointment and brought in my truck. They kept it for a few days before telling me that the heater relay has internal short and needs to be replaced. The print out they gave me is P2609-00-Intake Air Heater System Performance. I took the truck back while the part was on order. Then my battery died a few days before Christmas eve. I went and got a new battery. A few days went by and I went outside this morning to find my wiper blades on albeit moving slowly. My truck is completely unresponsive and seems to have killed the batteries again. I pulled the fuse for the wipers and jumped the truck which at least brought power back to all the instruments. I have it on a trickle charger now and hopefully it will crank in the morning.

I have had countless issues with this truck. I'm getting rid of it after this. But if anyone could help me figure out what could be going on so I can at least take it to CarMax it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I would charge the battery and then try and do a circut load test and find out what is happening. Keep in mind, the wipers maybe did not drain the battery. Some modules freak out with low voltage and the wipers might have come on because something else drained the battery.

Ya I had a 16 Rebel that was full of gremlins. If it sat for 5 days or so in the winter it wouldn’t start. Attempt a start and it would freak out the electronics. Wipers would kick on slow which sucked if they were frozen down :mad::mad:.
