Banks Monster Ram air and cold air intake

I have been listening to different people and posts about the Banks Monster-Ram Intake and Grid Heater Upgrade the cold air intake. I am asking here to try to help me figure all this out. The Monster-Ram Intake and Grid Heater Upgrade is supposed to eliminate the heater nut that comes loose and causes engine damage. It is supposed to help with the intake air and better breathing. If you're concerned about the grid heater bolt, just get the BD Diesel kit and forget the Banks. It does noting but drain your wallet.
