I just recently installed a Banks iDash DataMonster. It is an amazing piece of equipment & I'm sure that eventually I'll get the setup tweaked to my liking, and will eventually understand what it is telling me. Hopefully some of you with more experience & knowledge can provide me some input.
1. Regen Average Info. When the unit was first installed, it showed the average time & distance between regens. 849 miles & 1658 minutes (27.6 hours). Once the first regen kicked in, the gauge showed 0 for both time & distance. After the regen was done, the info is stuck at 0 for both. I tried everything I could think of to reset the gauge; spoke with Banks tech support (who seemed pretty good), and even did a reinstall of the software (same version 24 that was on it when received.) Nothing changed. Tech support had me do a "Capture ECU Information" and send them the file, along with pics. Their determination was that the ECM of my truck had reset & said to wait and see if the time/distance repopulates after the next regen. Has anyone experienced anything similar with their iDash? Before the regen occurred, I did have both batteries disconnected as the both of them were replaced due to the passenger side battery having died.
2. DPF Regen Trigger. One of the parameters I have set to watch is the "DPF Regen Trigger" percentage. When the regen started, it was at 99, so that seemed normal. The regen took place in about 15-20 minutes cruising at 75 on the interstate. When the regen finished, the iDash showed the trigger percentage at 43. Since then, it has gone up and down as I've been doing city driving. Is the trigger % being at 43 normal upon completion of a regen? What should I expect this to be telling me?
3. BB3 Current. What the heck is this?
Thanks in advance!!
