For anyone interested I had a little experience with the banks monster exhaust they had advertised for the 19'.
Banks had a black tipped system advertised a couple months ago specifically for a megacab short bed.
I put it off thinking it wasn't really worth the money and I would do it later.
After a couple failed attempts with some other mods I wanted to get done I got anxious and just ordered it thinking it would be an easy one to get out of the way while all these companies get the 19's through development.
This wasn't the case when I went to test fit the system, which I almost never do but I wanted to cerakote the rest of the pipes to match the tip.
The intermediate pipe that basically adapts to what look like standard bends for a crew cab short bed was about a foot or so short. After then reviewing the instructions and online video I saw what looked like the actual intermediate pipe I needed.
I was excited thinking there was a solution and I could help them clear up a potential issue.
After a few calls trying to get a response from Banks I was met with the words "we don't make a kit for a 19"...
I said you should because you advertise it in multiple locations as well as the instruction booklet that shipped with the kit. I probably find this more amusing than you guys reading this but it's because he wasn't the first company to give me the exact same response for the exact same issue on the exact same truck that week.
After discussing with engineering they said the pipe I identified in other documentation wouldn't work(I could be wrong and I hope they know better than I do) so I returned the system at their request.
Looks like it will be a waiting game to get this resolved and I pray that they decide to move forward with a derringer soon. Hopefully they have discovered what I have about the new platform and feel they can tune it best but that's a different story that I touched on in another thread.
