I replaced my soft trifold bed cover with a BakX2 revolver cover. Now I can securely lock everything in. It fit perfect for my rotopaks mounted on Icky concept panels. I am waiting for a Putco low profile Tec rail with cross bars to mount a RTT just barely over the top of the rolled up cover. It will keep the tent well below the roof line and rear facing bed camera. I will still be able to open the bed cover as shown or have it rolled out to lock everything in the bed.IMG_0865.JPG

Icky Concepts. .I like them because i can put stuff behind them and on the bed side doubling the panel surface. I think they are distributed by CJC off road now.

I finally have the Putco Tec rails and cross bar mount kit installed. They sent the medium duty cross bar set instead of the Ultimate HD set that I ordered. I put the MD on util I get My HD set. Either set will have plenty of capacity no matter what tent RTT I end up with. These work with X2 cover.IMG_0913.JPGIMG_0918.JPG

Been thinking of switching to a similar setup. Just need a magical solution that incorporates a 37” spare that doesnt involve hanging it off the back of the truck and still allows the bed to be fully covered. Plus the rtt on top of those crossbars…

These are the 8 inch risers on top of the 4 inch high rails. In the XD line they make8, 16, 24 and 27 inch risers. You would be able to lay a 37 down in the bed and cover it with this system. I went his way so I can take the RTT off and leave just the rails on. No drill installation was nice. With the rear view camera in the mirror I do not see the cross bars and wanted to keep the RTT below the roof line.

Something like this that keeps the tire from eating half the bed real estate and can still support a rtt that stays below the cab roof.

Nice! Curious, did you consider the Truxedo Sentry? What swayed you? I currently have the truxedo on my 1500 and am planning on getting it for my incoming 3500...I've been very happy w it for the past 3 or so years. Always was curious about the comparison to the X2...

Nice rails too...

Truxedo would have been a great choice also. I knew I was going to get the Putco rail setup so just looking for compatible covers. Local company here sells a more of the Bak covers so I went that way.
