I am eyeing these fogs to replace my current LED factory fog setup. I dont think I can disable the auto on feature when turning. But, the factory fogs to spread quite well to the side assisting on dark lite turns. How is the throw on these? Wide enough to assist the same?

I plan on getting some Baja Design ditch lights to mount behind the hood...but not just yet.

TIA

I find the throw to be similar, but brighter. I haven't driven much at night since getting them, but when I did I wasn't worried about them being obnoxious, and they still gave quite a bit of side lighting while turning.

To your point of disabling, I'd like the ability to do that if someone with AlfaOBD has figured that out.

I have the BD on my 1500, they are great, but a different setup than our new HDs.
I also want to put the BDs on my 2020 but Like Nado said, the factory fogs spread quite well to the side. I'm not sure the BDs, while brighter, have the best side lighting compare to the factory. And for me, side lighting is more important than brightness. Also, I like the BDs yellow, it's better for fog and dusty conditions.

So Mooney, after you get more night driving in, it would really be appreciated if you can report on the BDs side lighting.

I have no need to be able to disable the "auto on" feature when turning.

I think @Jimmy07 posted once that you can set the angle with AlfaOBD to effectively disable that feature.

This would be fantastic. I'll be waiting for the master himself to chime in.

Edit:

I found THIS in the AlfaOBD thread, but I don't see if it was ever confirmed.

So far, nobody has confirmed if this works.
I have AlfaOBD. Want to send me the settings/instructions? I can try it this weekend.

I installed these on my truck a few weeks ago but haven’t driven at night yet. They look good in the driveway!!
install looks pretty simple. I plan on using the factory switch. From what i can see its completely PNP here.
