Ok, so last week I experienced a click and no start on my 2020 Ram 2500 6.4. I ended up jumping the truck and it fired right up. I replaced the original battery with a decent AGM battery. Things were good until 2 days ago. Same thing happened but after 2 or three attempts the truck started on its own. Just happened again this morning. After a few tries the truck fired up on its own. Only thing I can figure is an issue with the starter. Has anyone else experienced this? I've got 32k miles on the truck. Thanks in advance!

The starter in my 2020 went out at just under 36k, so I was able to have it replaced under warranty. Unfortunately mine just died one day at work with no early warning signs like you have.

If it started right up when jumping it, I would suspect a bad battery or something drawing down the battery. I know you put in a new battery, but occasionally you get a bad one. Charge it up and load test it to eliminate that as the source of the problem.

Thanks for the replies. I spoke with the service manager at my local dealership, one that I actually trust. He said starters aren't something they see fail often. 9 out of 10 times it's loose or corroded connections to the starter. I'm going to go through it this weekend. Worst case, it's the starter and he said they are pretty easy to get. We shall see. I'll post after I go through the connections.
Just thought I'd finally circle back to this. I checked and tightened the wire connections to the starter about 4 weeks ago. I got a 1/4 to 3/8 turn on each. The connections are clean. Haven't had a problem since. But now that it's cold here my body mounts are making some noise again ! Oh well...ya win some ya lose some.
