2019 RAM under warranty with failed DPF. Truck has been down for almost 3 weeks. Ram cannot/will not provide dealer with tracking number or ETA, only says that it has "shipped". Opened case with customer care. Had to make several calls to get through to case manager who did not return calls to number that I furnished when case was opened. Took several more attempts to get through to a supervisor only to be told that the case has been expedited and that they were not allowed to give me a contact within RAM parts network. Customer Care is an outsourced entity in some other part of the world. They offered no more info than what the dealer told me. The continual response is that someone will call me "tomorrow". It doesn't happen. Some one in the RAM organization knows the truth about the availability and ETA of the DPF yet they refuse to tell the truth to avoid accountability. The cost to the customer to not have the use of a vehicle is substantial, specifically in a business environment. RAM doesn't care as they are fully aware that they are incapable of providing a reliable product and fair and expeditious parts and service. I have learned that my case is one of thousands. They need to be held accountable. There is a reason why RAM 2500/3500 trucks are the slowest selling vehicles in America and it will only get worse unless they start supporting their customers. Buyers beware.

Update: Just talked to dealer. A DPF arrived yesterday afternoon that had been on backorder and it was damaged beyond use...lol.. RAM can't get out of their own way.

Whew, hope you feel better after that rant. Feels go to get it out though. I’ve been in a similar situation in regards to dealership work, unfortunately it’s an all too common occurrence. At least they got you the part, sort of. Sounds like the shipping company screwed you on that, hopefully they have one to expedite so your not left sitting on your thumbs.

Sounds like you are throwing a tantrum because they wont let you have the tracking? The truck is getting fixed thats the important part. I don’t think pestering them will get it done any faster probably the opposite will happen.

My '21 Gladiator had bad tie rod end links and steering stabilizer. I waited 3 weeks for the parts to come in before I decided to install after market parts on my own. 6 months later they called me saying the parts came in. 6 months they expected me to go without driving the vehicle.

Are they obligated to give a flying fornication? Nope.
