AVS Aeroskin - anybody have one yet?

I had one of these on my 2010 F150 and like it. I saw they released one for the 2019/2020 Ram HD’s and am wondering if anyone has one yet. If you not familiar it fit like a bug deflector across the front of the hood, but it does not stand up to deflect bugs or wind. It sticks flat and is more of protection or coverage to the leading edge of paint on the hood. On my black truck it would be almost invisible at a distance. Appears they make a new version as well with small lights built in. If you have one how is the figment? Etc.

I like the look, my only concern would be how much crap might get stuck between it and the paint. Did you have any trouble with that, or ever take the one off you had to see how the paint was doing underneath?

I never removed the one I have before. It was on for nearly five years and on when I sold the truck. That was back 2010 -2015. I did not have any issues at all with it. From what I remember it fit really secure and may had had 3m tape all the way around. I never worried about the paint underneath.

I also like the lay flat look. Not sure I would personally go with the lighted version as it would be a bug and stone catcher and it would make my fuel mileage worse. I'm waiting for the painted versions to come out with a billet silver color. I love the blended in look

AVS is great for customer service,mine on my 2014 split in 2 and they replaced it because it was not rock chipped

I agree not a fan of the lighted ones, just a little much for my taste. I tried to order an aero skin from our local shop and he said they were on backorder.

I'm holding out for that exact style but in the painted version. So far they only have back/ white/ bright silver. I'm holding out for billet silver. I want the protection with adding just a contour of the beafiness with out changing colors, probably will never happen

There is a guy I this rv resort with a longhorn and he has the new weather tech that is sleek and lays flat on the hood, don't stick up at all and there is nothing smoke about that one, its black as coal. I love the way it lays, if but one today if it was painted to match mine. But that baby is dark.

I would like a color matched one as well, but given the current available options, black would be ok on the Maximum Steel on my truck.

Rich - you changed your signature block...I noticed there’s a few items missing from the “still deciding on” category. I thought for sure you were going to get the chrome bug deflector to match the chrome tow hooks !!!
