Automatic Running Board Weight Capacity

I've been looking around but I can't find anything online... Does anyone know what the holding capacity is for the factory automatic running boards? I have a 24 Rebel with these and I have a road trip coming up with a couple brothers-in-law that tip the scales at just around 450 each. Can my running boards take this stress or should I just keep them stowed for the trip? Thanks in advance for any answers (helpful or otherwise lol)!

Thats alotta load guy. Bigger question can they get in without them? Worst case, warranty. Couple girl scouts stepped on and pop. Honest

I'm about 280 to 310 lbs. depending on what side of the brisket your weighing and I'm quite leery when stepping on my auto running boards. I couldn't imagine 450 lbs. , I think my boards would be wincing in pain. Maybe park the boards and bring a step stool for your portly relatives.

Ha! Yeah, they're a couple of big boys for sure! That's why we're taking my truck. I can't believe there's not a spec reference that shows the weight limit for these. There seems to be one for just about everything else. Maybe I can find something for the Amp steps and just use that since the connections are the same.

According to this site, these are 660. I'm a big guy and when I was looking for running boards all the auto ones were by far the highest weight capacity. I just didn't like them, lol. I ultimately went with Tyger blades w a 500lb capacity...second truck I've had them on and so far so good!

My brother in law has the auto steps on his. He's around 400lbs and has 80k on the truck without issue using them every day. I was genuinely surprised haha

I recall 600lbs being mentioned elsewhere but can't find the info.

AMP are rated 660, so I expect the OEM might go a bit under that 'cause, "lawyers."

If you think about a couple hefty front and rear pax stepping on them at the same time, 600 makes sense. Just make sure those boys only board one at a time.

I’ve stood on the boards along with a 350 pounder at same time, I’m 220. Done this multiple times. Seems fine.
