Noticed a funny little quirk a few days ago when using cruise control on the interstate. When my truck hit the automatic regen, it almost felt like there was a small lug in the engine while using cruise control. I had noticed it do that before while using cruise control and just brushed it off like I was crazy. It doesn’t do that if it goes into auto regen while I’m only using the skinny pedal. Has anyone else experienced this? Was thinking it was some type of programming in the ECM.

I can’t tell any difference in or out of active regen with cruise, especially at highway/interstate speeds. Active regen is very passive, pun intended, at those speeds. I use cruise as often as possible.

The only time I can distinctly tell I’m in active regen is the sound at lower loads and rpms, which is very noticeable around town. The programming really retards the timing at low loss/rpms to add heat to the exhaust and that creates a different tone.
