I have a 2019 2500 6.4 with the autolevel, the shocks always seemed to be valved a little soft because the rear suspension would bottom out pretty hard sometimes so I added the top horizontal shock which made a big difference. It doesnt bottom out now hardly at all, almost like it was supposed to be there & like the shocks are valved to be used with the top shock. But by not including that shock FCA saves about $100 per pickup. If your on the fence about ordering this shock, you wont be sorry!

Do you have a part # for the shock?

I added it on my Cummins as I would get wheel hop when the wheels would search for traction with the anti-slip diff. Seems to help keep the wheels planted which I believe what it’s intended purpose is for the trucks with the coil springs. Don’t know why all the coil spring trucks don’t come with them. Geno’s was the cheapest I could find it.

This is pretty genius, i have been looking for enhancements on my 3500 with factory air bags (different than 2500) as i am pushing my payload limits and it does sag about 1 inch. Do you guys know if this is compatible with the 3500s?

If you roll underneath and check for the crossmember mount, then check for the tapped bolt bosses on top of the “pumpkin”, if it has those, you would be good to go.

Im checking that tonight. Wonder if other members have added this with the intent of helping payload capacity and squatting when loaded as opposed to eliminate the hop...

It is a bit hard to observe from the picture, but is the other mount (not on axle) welded onto the cross member or bolted on with some sort of U bolts? Any other pics?

Not a good pic but factory crossmember and mount are welded.0489EA37-FCB9-44B5-BE19-FFE0C2BB3AC6.jpeg0489EA37-FCB9-44B5-BE19-FFE0C2BB3AC6.jpeg

It would seem to me that this will only help with wheel hop, due to the angle of the shock. Even if the angle was more vertical, it would help almost nothing to boost load capacity. Gas charged shocks will act like a weak spring, since the gas pressure causes the shock to extend, but it does not take much force to compress it (slowly)... just my $0.05 worth... I would like to add this to my truck, but I will not be able to leave my b&w gooseneck ball stowed, since is will hit the shock mount on the axle end when bottomed out.
