Hello all. I was wondering if I could get some feedback. I have a 2019 Bighorn 2500 Cummins. I wanted to add audio controls to my steering wheel and found out the only way to do this on the new trucks was to get a new wheel. I bought a used wheel and went to swap out the old one and ran into a problem.

The new wheel has an additional plug...I'm assuming for the audio controls. white with 2 wires. The problem is there is not an additional plug coming out of the column. I have no where to plug it into to. Dodge dealer is telling me that the only way to add this wheel to my truck is to replace the entire dash harness? is the other side of the plug hiding in the steering column cover or somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

My new to me (used wheel) had an extra plug. I just left I as is. If i remember correctly, it is at the very top center of the steering wheel housing. It is probably for the heated function or adaptive cruise control.

That's the one. Interesting.....Did your new wheel take time to work....did the truck have to learn it? I have the same (new) wheel and after hooking it up I still had no volume controls. Can anyone confirm what that plug is for?

I thought it odd that a two wire plug could control both tune and volume paddles but at this point I'm at a loss.

I just swapped a Heated wheel into my tradesman, and then took my tradesman wheel with audio controls and put that in my 5500 delivery truck at the shop. The audio controls worked instantly on the 5500 w/o any additional programming or wiring.
