Anyone running an LCS bump stop kit on their 2500? I was thinking of going airbags but always hated how they made my old truck ride rougher. I’d go with full travel bags but my truck isn’t lifted in the rear

Also thinking about doing boogie bumps with my 1” front coils.

I just saw your post.

I recently installed the Thuren LCS Boogie Bump kit on my 2024 Ram 2500 CC 4wd 6’-4” bed truck. Prior to this addition, I installed a host of other Thuren components, including the +1” rear soft springs. My goal was to replicate the compliant suspension I had on my 2016 Ram 1500.

With the LCS std bumpers I have a 3” gap between the bump stop and axle pad, 1/2” gap with the tall bump stop. The quick change feature is great.

I usually drive the truck unloaded but frequently pull a 10K equipment trailer or dump trailer, both using an Equalizer weight distribution hitch.

Yet to pull either trailer with the LCS kit but I expect it to limit/control the rear end sag but still allow me to enjoy the soft ride of the Thuren springs.

Let me know how if goes after your first pull. Haven’t pulled the trigger on the kit yet but want to do something soon. Still not wanting to do airbags unless I have too.

Will do.

I will share now that when towing my equipment trailer with my tractor on it my rear end sag was about 2” and there were times when the rear axle pad hit it OEM bump stop and I felt that rather harsh contact.

With the WDH as it was set, I expect the long bump stops to be slightly compressed and provide somewhat of a “spring” to supplement the Thuren soft coils.

Desertwheeler,

I’ll be towing my 12x6 dump trailer Monday 1/6/25 and will report back.

Boogie bumps in the front with the 1” coils in my 3500 has been good. Since it’s a small lift and not a big up travel gain I would still bottom out the front on bigger hits and stock bumps here harsh. With Thurens new style front bumps it’s a much smoother hit.

Also traded out my airbags for Thurens LCS and love the versatility. I’d say for me they are about the same or a little smoother than my airbags were. But when unloaded it’s great to have normal bump stops and no bags affecting the ride.

I have the Thuren LCS kit on my 2024 Ram 2500 CC 4WD 6’-4” bed, Thuren +2” soft front springs, +1” soft rear springs and other Thuren products listed in previous posts along with Rancho 9000 shocks.

Yesterday I swapped the std. LCS bumpers with the tall bumpers, towed an empty 12x6 dump trailer, then the trailer loaded. Unloaded tongue wt. about 450#, loaded tongue wt. estimated to be about 1200#. Tue bumper sway took less than one minute.

The LCS kit did exactly what I had hoped, limiting the initial rear end sag and “stiffening” the rear suspension.

With the unloaded trailer the tall bump stops were just contacting the axle pads and the suspension compliance was somewhat harsh, but the WDH seems to add to a rear suspension harshness/non-compliance. Loaded trailer with loaded tongue wt resulted in a more compliant ride in the rear.

Compliments to Thuren for offering a quality well designed product.

I hope this helps others.
