Anyone know what this is on driver external mirror?

Pic attached, I have looked in manual and cant figure out what this is on driver side mirror (only). Looks like some kind of reset button, but manual reference to power mirror reset procedure mentions nothing about it;

Hmm, yeah maybe? Didn’t think of that. Although it would be a weird place to put one. And black plastic would heat up around it in direct sunlight.
