Hi,

I've been looking to buy a '20-'22 2500. Unfortunately (as all are aware) the blind spot option is a rarity on these. However it's a necessity for me. Has anyone here installed an aftermarket system on their truck? If so, which one and how do you like it. (I know that the production system can be installed using production pars, but I don't know if I want to go down that road)

Thanks,

Mark

I haven't but have been thinking about the one from infotainment with folding mirrors. Definitely on my long term project list.

Not to be rude but it’s called your eyes and side view mirrors. Unless your disabled, then it shouldn’t be a necessity

Lotta complaints about those side mirrors, whole threads on it. :)

I do not have it but my understanding is that on the Ram it doesn't work for 5th wheels and bumper pulls can be hit or miss on effectiveness. So either way I would never trust the system while towing.

As far as mirror supplements go, in my opinion, side view cameras are far far more effective and trustworthy for clearing a blind spot than the annoying little light in the side mirror.
