I was wondering if there is anyone around the St Clair County Michigan area with Alpha OBD, I would like to turn on the current gear indicator on my 2021 2500 Laramie and there is no option for it in the 2021. Not ready to buy the Alpha OBD yet for just that one thing, but I would be willing to pay a fair price for someone to help me out.

I'm not anywhere near your area, but keep in mind you also need an OBD reader (like OBDLink MX+ or similar) plus a security bypass cable (KAODtech or similar). It may be worth noting whether you have those components already or would need to borrow them as well.

Thank you for the advice, I’m hoping someone would have the complete setup to be able to help me out...

I am surprised Alpha Obd is not married to the vin like most devices like this are. Kind of cool if not.

Car Configuration Change
ECUConfig 4: Actual Gear Display = Yes

Then you have the option to turn it on via the EVIC menu
So the dealer can not do this for us? I saw a 3500 that had the gear and locked torque converter displayed but it was on a gauge screen device of some sort. Edge Insight I think.

If you are going to charge $150, you might as well make him leave the truck at your place for 3 weeks for the full dealership experience.
And for the true dealership experience, don’t forget a couple extra “body lines” from some lot jockey

That's up to him. If he chooses to do that I will throw in my Ultimate Customer Care (UCC for short) package where I thoroughly test the drive train ,tires and suspension to make sure it stands up to Rams claims. (for his own safety) .
At the conclusion of required testing under the Ultimate Customer Care (UCC for short) package there will not be a written evaluation of the testing performed. We will make sure that visually the customer has no doubt the their vehicle has been subjected to the stringent but measured evaluation conducted in accordance with UCC (Ultimate Customer Care) package guidelines

All testing will be done at no cost to the vehicle owner! The only obligation to the owner will be when they drop off their vehicle for evaluation under the Ultimate Customer Care (UCC for short) package guidance
The fuel tank must be FULL.

I’ve actually been having a rough week, you have definitely made it better!!!!! My only concern is does your UCC include re-formed side steps for added ground clearance on break-over

Whatever is necessary to conduct a painstaking vehicle assessment under the conditions outlined by the Ultimate Customer Care (UCC for short) package .

Correct. The dealer can't (officially) do anything that isn't available as a sales code. A rogue tech with an AlfaOBD setup could do it.
