I also have trouble at the truck pumps. Can't even hold the first notch on the nozzle. I have to nurse it along the whole fill.I have an issue on the Large high pressure pumps at the truck islands with my 2020 6.7. Seems to work better on the wide high flow nozzles to not stick it all the way in the filler neck. No issues on the standard flow ones though.
I haven't had trouble with the pump clicking off but been buying mostly at Costco.Maybe the pump has a short neck and it isn't opening the second flap completely, kicking off the pump?
I'm not sure on the new trucks. I found my double flaps when I tried adding anti-gel. I have a 2018. I just had a thought that maybe the OP is using high speed pumps?I haven't had trouble with the pump clicking off but been buying mostly at Costco.
Do the new trucks still have double flaps in the fill neck?
I use 5 gallon jugs sometimes to add fuel with the nozzle just past the first flap and it seems to flow in pretty well. I remember my 2014 had double flaps.
Maybe the second flap broke!!
Just another thought, have you tried moving the handle around a bit while fueling? Or are you using a high speed truck stop pump? Take a flashlight and open the flaps and check the fill tube for obstructions or maybe a crimp. Hope we can help.I have a 2020 3500 6.7 I’ve filled up 4 time since I bought my truck and every time I fuel up the pump clicks off within the first 60 seconds of fueling. Yesterday it clicked off 3 times. Anyone else have this?
I've seen that with other vehicles I have owned. Sometimes the little safety float in the pump will freeze, a little isopropyl solves that.I have it happen at certain pumps with my 6.4. I have to twist the nozzle up sideways and hold it in that positions the whole time it pumps or it tries to shut off on me.
